Dry Brushing: Ancient Beauty Ritual for Radiant Skin!
This little tool might be just the thing you need to ramp up your self-care routine!
Dry brushing originated in India over 5,000 years ago. Using a firm bristle brush, you gently massage your skin in an upward motion to increase circulation, exfoliate the skin, and to aid in lymphatic drainage. Dry brushing also helps with diminishing the appearance of cellulite and improves skin radiance. Dry brushing is not recommended for those with extremely sensitive skin, rosacea, or eczema.
Benefits:
Boosts circulation
Sloughs off dead skin cells
Increases blood flow
Stimulates lymphatic system to help rid the body of toxins
Reduces the appearance of cellulite
It’s quick and easy. You can dry brush your body and face! It is important that your skin is completely dry, so brush before you shower or before cleansing your face. When dry brushing your body, start at your ankles and brush in long circular motions in the direction of your heart. If dry brushing your face, gently massage in small circular motions, avoiding the delicate eye area. We recommend dry brushing only a few times a month. Over-exfoliating can lead to skin irritation. Be gentle, as the bristles are firm. Make sure to wash your brush after use with soap and water.
At Spa Matrix we offer brushes made with eco-friendly materials, including boar bristles with the right amount of firmness and wood handles. A face brush is including in our Cleansing Kits.
